やあやあ！
朝6：30 – 5℃ 僕は朝日を背に坂を海まで下りていく。
すれ違うおじさん。やあやあと手を振って僕から笑顔を
送ったら、それ以上の笑顔が返ってきた。
お互い全く通じない言語を発しあって、背中をお互いた
たきあって、握手して別れた。いいところに来たなあ。
お互い頑張って生きよう。

Ya-yah!
6:30 a.m. Minus 5 degrees centigrade. With the morning sun
at my back I walk down the slope to the sea. I pass this old
man. When I wave and smile at him, he replies with an even
bigger smile. Neither of us can speak the other’s language,
so we pat each other on the back, shake hands and part.
What a great place I have come to. Let’s soldier on together.
