中央アジアの大草原の国
カザフスタンのアルマティの駅です。
旧ソビエトが建設したホーム。
近代的で清潔な町なんですけど、
ロシア行きの列車はだいぶ年季が入っていて、窓枠は木製。
古い建物の手前にベンチにひっそり座っている人たちが……
時間の流れがゆっくり。その中にあちこちで人の出会いと別れが……

Where is their future?
A Soviet-era train platform.
Though the old-fashioned, wood-framed window,
I spot two young women sitting by themselves
on a long, modern bench.
They seem to be staring into the distance.
I associate trains with partings or new beginnings.
Who, or what, are they waiting for?
